Filled With Love

You are made of stars,
Twinkling and burning bright.
Encased in skin covered in scars,
And underneath those wounds,
A light.

Trapped beneath flesh and bone.
Needing,
Aching,
Feeling alone.
Yet pushing away,
Forsaking
Those who show you love.

I will break open my chest.
Let my warmth flood this room.
Until my love rises up,
Like the sea.
In waves of affection,
In swells of bliss.

Like the sun,
I will kiss,
Your lips,
Your head,
From your eyes,
Tears I will dry.

Like a tempest,
I will shake,
Every corner of your body,
Awake.

I will fill,
Each tiny crack of your soul,
Until
Each and every lonely hole,
And sullen space,
Is replaced…
With love.
