Poisoned

I drank your poison words,
You breathed them into me.
Like spoken daggers heard,
You stabbed,
Then let me bleed.

I feel your hatred,
Coursing through,
My veins,
My blood,
My skin.

Your jealousy,
Making love,
A game,
You can not win.

I do not love you,
Anymore.
For all the pain,
You caused.

You fed me lies.
You broke my bones,
With all the vile,
Stones,
You’ve thrown.
And never,
Did you pause.
To look at me,
Beaten down,
With all your cruelty.

You broke my heart,
My mind,
My soul.
Why can’t you set me free?
