Illusion

Every time I see him
I fall deeper in
To the abyss
Of his love
And I can not swim

I can’t breathe deep
As I fall so fast
Tumbling down
I worry
If this will last

I’m not sure how he feels
He keeps his secrets locked
But looking into his eyes
All my air
Is knocked

From my lungs
I can’t breathe
I forget how to gasp
And all my words
Trapped in my mouth
Are begging to ask

Do you love me
Back
Do you love me
True
Or do your eyes deceive
I haven’t a clue

I get lost in his eyes
Frozen in time
How long did I stare
Into the hazel
Sublime

Pull me out
Of this trance
This state of
Confusion
I’m tired
Restless
And deeply
In need of love
That is not
Illusion
