Relevant once again…
The sweet smell of you lingers
But
My fingers on the trigger.
Pointing, clicking, unfriending.
Removing You.
I’m sending,
You,
To where you belong.
To the back of the closet,
With all the skeletons there.
All the ones who broke my heart.
They’ve finished their part,
Of my story.
But no worry.
You have lots of company,
In the closet of broken dreams.
Bones to keep you from being lonely.
And coats to keep you cozy,
Warm away from harm,
On these,
Cold autumn days.
So climb on in,
Say goodbye to the day.
Rest your weary bones,
Now I have my way.
Retire your phoniness.
Enjoy your stay.
