You have stitched together stories of my past
And collected my memories that I trusted you with
You made a veil from all these pieces of me
And placed it over my face
Never seeing the girl standing in front of you
You judged me wrongly and harshly based on fairytales you constructed in your mind
And I never was the princess in your stories
You made me into the witch
I never deserved this role
It is not who I was or ever will be
But you could never lift the veil and see my face hidden under the fabric of your disillusion
You my love
Were wrong about me
And I was wrong about you
