Barefoot In The Rain

I am killing myself
Every god damned day
With memories of you
That refuse to go away

But the truth of it is
I am addicted to the pain
Of remembering you in detail
As if we’re standing in the rain

Once again together
Barefoot dancing in the storm
And the memory of our kissing
As rain soaked us to the bone

Keeps me warm in my heart
As it continually breaks
Lights a fire in my chest
That burns as I ache
